My name is Devin Joshua Travieso and I’m 26 years old.

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I had the beautiful opportunity to tour a majority of the country for 3 years straight and while I was able to experience a decent amount of the US, I can honestly say that no place compares to home. Since departing the sojourner lifestyle, I have pursued music back home and met/married the love of my life, Johanna. We got married on November 15th, 2013.

If you were to ask either of us “how’s married life?” or another variation of the question…

You would undoubtedly get the synchronized response of “different.”

Prior to getting married, I never imagined that one word could withhold such a vast plethora of other applicable adjectives. Sometimes that one word means fun, sometimes it means tough, sometimes it means joyous, sometimes it means stressful. However, no matter what sub-adjective presented at the time, marriage will always be one thing if you allow it to, and that one thing is rewarding.

One thing you’ll pick up about me instantly is that I am a big believer in people’s stories telling who they are.

I love to hear other people’s stories and I have a passion for sharing mine.

There is a invaluable power that is acquired when individuals can create a bridge within and to each other through the exchange of personal feats, difficulties, gains, losses, strengths, weaknesses, etc.

Being married has not only enhanced the value of my journey story with my wife, but it has brought me to connect and identify my own personal story in such a distinct and undiluted way.
